Tell us about yourself.

I use he/him pronouns. I am from Grants Pass, Oregon. I transferred to UO because it’s home. I’m a Junior Honors College Planning, Public Policy, and Management student and a Business minor. In my free time I exercise, be with friends, read, and caffeinate myself. I am involved with Wayne Morse Scholars, Legislative Scholars, SCO PPPM, Rotaract, SAB PPPM, and the Core Education Council. I look forward to knowing you!

What are the three key issues that you've noticed on campus that you hope to improve for students as an elected official?
Please list each issue and briefly explain how you hope to improve it.

I will fight to reduce the extreme cost of living as a UO student by seeking to lower costs in healthcare, first-year housing, food, tuition, and parking tickets while seeking to build more housing on campus to lower rent and expand SNAP access on campus. I will stand with OurUO to facilitate campus well-being and health. Well-being to me includes preventative care and expanded free mental health appointments. Campus social life should be permitted and safe. Well-being also means easier appointments with advisors. Finally, I will seek to dismantle the hierarchical aspects of ASUO. ASUO should not stand above their peers. Clubs should more easily access their funds. It should be easier for clubs to become ASUO affiliated with less demands placed on them

Why are you running?

I am running because my peers deserve an advocate. UO is inaccessible for so many. Many graduate with debt and a less-than-stellar experience. As someone from a small Oregon town with fewer opportunities, I believe college is a public right. At UO, our quality of life must be improved. We deserve the support that UO and ASUO sometimes struggle to provide. In summary, my “why” is to fight to make life better for students.
