Tell us about yourself.
Hello, my name is Erin Luedemann, my pronouns are she/her, and I’m from Portland, Oregon. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Oregon majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. Within my major I would love to have the opportunity to work in sustainability and internationally! When I’m not studying you can find me hiking, going to live music, reading, and exploring Eugene with my friends!
What are the three key issues that you've noticed on campus that you hope to improve for students as an elected official?
Please list each issue and briefly explain how you hope to improve it.
As an elected official I will prioritize the following issues in order to better student life on campus: 1. Enhance sustainability at UofO by further promoting tools that are available such as the rose room. Additionally, introducing new programs that reduce waste throughout campus and promote more sustainable practices. 2. Address absentee policies and deadlines that aren’t realistic for students’ mental health. As well as ensuring that these policies are consistent among professors and different majors. 3. Create more transparency between ASUO and student organizations. This will be reached by working with the student organizations to be more clear about ASUO processes and functions. As well as personally assisting the organizations in these processes.
Why are you running?
I am excited to represent you, my fellow business majors, and be someone that you can rely on. I am committed to prioritizing the needs of the students, which are built upon listening to you. The University of Oregon offers so much to us and I believe working together we can make it even better.
