Tell us about yourself.

My name is Wren, and I am a 1st year graduate student at UO! I am seeking a Masters of Public Administration with a focus in environmental sustainability. I use she/her pronouns, and I am originally from Portland, Oregon.

What are the three key issues that you've noticed on campus that you hope to improve for students as an elected official?

The first issue I would like to target is support for students in need, specifically for students who come from underrepresented groups and do not feel at home or supported at UO. I hope to allocate more funding to programs for these students, such as the basic needs program. The second issue is the gap seen between undergraduate and graduate students. There are many more undergraduates than graduate students, and I feel like the relationship between the two is both strained and non-existent. I would like to see more implementation of interactive programs between the two groups. We are one university, but the gap between the two groups make it feel as though graduate students are separate from the general student body. The third issue

Why are you running?

I am running because I really want to be a voice for graduate students and programs on campus. Coming straight from my undergraduate degree, I believe I still have the capacity to engage with undergraduates at UO and advocate for my cohort and other graduate groups, as we need just as much support and funding as undergrads do. I believe my position in this school and my program will allow me to bridge the intersection
