Why are you running in the ASUO Elections?

I want to make a difference in how ASUO directs itself, ASUO's responsibilities, and what it overseas, typically has been 'blurry' to the average student here at UO. ASUO is also not incredibly accessible and transparent. Everything we do and how we conduct ourselves should be known to the entirety of the student body, so they are aware of how the school is advocating for everyone and so they can count on being well represented.

As one of the most front facing parts of ASUO, how do you plan on making these interactions as positive as possible for students?

I want to be as open of a book as possible. I'm fully aware of how tough it is to budget effectively all while making sure everyone's voice feels valuable and heard. Our job as senate in asuo is to be 100% transparent and as communicative as possible. Everyone should feel heard, and everyone should know the reasoning and justification behind the decisions we make.

Is there a particular ASUO funded service or organization (or multiple) that you are passionate about and hope to work with? Why?

In the eye of encouraging safety and accommodation of all students at the university, DuckRides is a focus of mine, as I think it's an important way to contribute our funds back to the wellbeing of students.
