Why are you running in the ASUO Elections?

Hi, I'm Jordan Kagawa. I'm from Oahu, Hawaii. I use she/her pronouns, and I'm a junior studying accounting with a minor in ethics. I hope to be an ASUO officer to help my UO community by assisting organizations with their budget using my accounting background and skills. I am also passionate about giving different organizations across campus equal opportunity and hope to help as many people as possible through this role.

Is there a particular ASUO funded service or organization (or multiple) that you are passionate about and hope to work with? Why?

I am passionate about overseeing the budget for the Lundquist College of Business organizations as I have worked closely with them in previous roles. I want to give back to this community with which I have grown a strong relationship over my academic career. I have interacted with every business organization to a certain extent, and I hope I can assist them with any ASUO financial-related needs. I want to make ASUO as accessible as possible for this community and all communities throughout the university!
