Why are you running in the ASUO Elections?
I have spent 3 years here at UO witnessing ASUO from the sidelines. I have been previously involved with organizing on campus with OSPIRG. I'm passionate about our campus and student life. I see too often in my friends who go to other schools how a poor execution of student wellness can impact individuals. I want to be part of that solution in my community.
As one of the most front facing parts of ASUO, how do you plan on making these interactions as positive as possible for students?
I pride myself on good listening skills and general understanding even when I disagree with someone. I keep myself involved on campus and my main priority whenever I hear any sort of complaint is to put myself in the other person's shoes before I formulate a response. I aim to accomplish strategies that improve student life such as medicated abortions and better education about food security.
